The Ukrainian Film Festival Brisbane 2026 brought audiences together to celebrate Ukrainian cinema, culture, identity and resilience.

Festival overview

Held from 27–31 May 2026 at New Farm Cinemas , the festival created a meaningful space for the Ukrainian and broader Brisbane communities to connect through film, storytelling and shared cultural experience.

The festival contributed to fundraising efforts in support of Ukraine and helped strengthen the visibility of the Ukrainian community in Queensland.

The Ukrainian Film Festival Brisbane is part of the Ukrainian Film Festival Australia, a national cultural initiative celebrating the strength, creativity and diversity of contemporary Ukrainian cinema.
